Hormel Gatherings Platter Thanksgiving Review

Hormel is a household name. Hormel Food Corporation has been around since 1891. In 2017, it changed its name to Hormel Foods. Their brands include Applegate, Chi-Chi's, Dinty Moore, Herdez, Jennie-O, Justin's, Lloyd's, Muscle Milk, Skippy, Spam, Stagg, La Victoria and Wholly Guacamole.

Of course, when they were offering a chance to participate in a campaign I signed up! I was super excited to be selected by Hormel and Social Insiders to participate. I received my kit this week. I opened it and was excited to see two coupons for $15.00 off a platter and one gift card.

I found out later the card had a $10 balance. Please note, I received these products free in exchange for an honest review.

My mother law always loves having meat, cheese and cracker platters for our holidays. This year I loved the idea of providing her with a little break from cutting the cheeses and meats. My husband and I found the Hormel Gatherings Supreme Party Tray at Walmart $15.98. We were in awe by how big and delicious it looked! Not only that it had the following:

  • Peloponnese country pitted olive mix, 7.75 oz
  • Hormel hard salami, 6 oz
  • Sargento sliced colby jack cheese, 6 oz
  • Sargento sliced pepper jack cheese, 6 oz
  • Keebler Townhouse crackers, 8 oz

The Hormel website stated "Great for a party of 8." Its contents is also individually packaged for freshness. Hormel also sent me an $10 gift card which came in handy to buy celery and sausage for the stuffing for the turkey.

Of course we wanted some variety so we looked on http://www.hormel.com/ to locate the next store. This tool was easy to use. We were happy to find that the local Price Chopper also carried them. They carried Hormel Pepperoni & Hard Salami Party tray $14.99. This variety contains:

  • Hormel pepperoni & hard salami
  • Sargento mild cheddar & colby jack cheese
  • Keebler Townhouse crackers

And the best part? Most of these platters had another $3.00 off coupon attached. So if you wanted to purchase more in the future you could also save money in the process ! My mother in law appreciated the gesture. Today we got to enjoy the trays. We opened up the Supreme platter first. My daughter in particular loved the cheese and crackers (seen below). My husband loved the pitted olives. My father in law loved the pepperoni. My mother in law who's on a diet even had a few crackers, cheese and meat.

Overall, the platters were a hit. I hope you enjoyed my blog post and were inspired to purchase a tray for your next party or holiday. Want more Hormel?? Check out the links below:
