The Munchery Food Delivery Service Review

The name Munchery is genius! It sounds like eatery and munch. When I think of munching I think of delicious food that satisfies. The Munchery is a gourmet delivery food service featuring food prepared by award winning chefs. The service is available in limited areas in NYC. I have tried Munchery on two separate occasions and I must say both times I was not disappointed. Lucky for me I work on Wall Street.

My first order consisted of a sushi plate and peel n eat creole shrimp. The shrimp were spicy but came with a sauce so delicious that my husband saved the leftover sauce for dipping. It also came with a beautiful thank you card and a delicious cookie.

The price points are average with what you would pay for entree/appetizer at a restaurant and slighter higher depending on your neighborhood for delivery. In the Financial District the same food can cost $12.00 to $15.00.

So of course I was delighted to receive another five dollar discount and jumped at the chance to order from the Munchery again. The second time I received a Munchery food order I decided to try the Vietnamese shrimp salad. Again, the quality of the shrimp was outstanding. So succulent and perfectly cooked I was sad there were only two skewers with three fat plump shrimp.

Their mission:

We got our start back in 2010 as a couple of busy new parents desperate for an easier answer to "what’s for dinner?" Because we’ve all been there.

It’s late afternoon, and your schedule is overflowing. Meetings for this, and IMs for that. You’re overcommitted, under caffeinated and inbox zero seems like a cruel joke.

At some point, you’ve gotta figure out what’s for dinner. And when you’re too busy or tired to cook, it’s all too easy to just grab something fast on nights like these. But usually the easy option isn’t the best one for you.

We thought there had to be a better way, and that’s why we started Munchery. To make the easy option for putting dinner on the table the better one for you and the people you care about — even if that table was made for coffee or it’s actually your desk.

In essence, Munchery is definitely a keeper!
