Pur VoxBox

I have been a member of Influenster since June. I was always waiting to be selected for a campaign. When I was asked to fill out a pre-qualifying survey for this VoxBox I did so immediately. I was excited when I was selected. I was even more elated when I found the VoxBox in my mailbox. We have been using it for a few weeks now.

My husband is a fan of water filtration. After watching "The Culling" we decided that we needed to filter all water we use unless it's for washing and cleaning. We currently use the Zero Water Filtration pitcher. I love it because the water tastes amazing. We also use it for preparing our baby's formula for piece of mind.

Here is his unbiased review :

Pur Filtration System is pretty good for the cost and you can definitely taste a difference in the water verses coming out of the faucet. I happen to also be the owner of a Zero water filtration system so I had the pleasure of conducting an experiment based on Parts Per Million. After checking the water out of the Faucet, Water through the PUR filtration system and water through the Zero water filtration system I have the following results.

Faucet Water = 306 PPM, PUR Water = 234 PPM, Zero Water = 000 PPM. I have also included a picture of the PPM for the PUR filter.

I don't own a Brita but I've used them before and can honestly state that while PUR water is leagues above Brita and absolutely filtered a lot out of our faucet water it is still way behind Zero water. I would have to deduce this is simply because PUR filters are only a 2 Stage filter whereas Zero water's is a 5 Stage filter.

Based on cost effectiveness I would have to say PUR is still a good deal though as it costs less to replace the filters than Zero water.

I have decided to gift one to my mother. Here's to PUR water and healthy living.

Please note, we received this product in exchange for an honest review.
